Christina Spencer, CCFT, Army SFC, Precision Nutrition Level 2 Student

Christina was introduced to CrossFit in 2008 while on a mobilization tour and serving in Kuwait. Upon returning home, she completed her BS in Education and received her CF Level 1 certification. She competed at CrossFit Sectionals and Regionals in the Individual division in 2010, and in the Team division in 2012.

She owns and runs Junction City CrossFit (established 2012) with her husband, where they have built a strong community and is a Level 3 Certified Trainer.

Christina is currently completing her Precision Nutrition Level 2 course and has also started pursuing her graduate degree in Nutrition and Sports Performance from Logan University.

Kat Garcia-Benson, RDN, LD, Precision Nutrition Level 2 Student

Kat began her career as a clinical dietitian in a large hospital.

She left the hospital to work with people on the preventative side of nutrition.

Kat’s number 1 goal is for everyone to have a healthy relationship with food with a long-term focused, flexible nutrition plan. 

She is able to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy depending on your situation including diabetes, PCOS, high cholesterol, etc.

I’m a military spouse and proud mother of two boys. Cooking and fitness are two passions of mine. I’ve been on my fitness journey for about five years and it’s only been recently when I combined proper nutrition with fitness that I’ve been able to see positive and permanent changes in my overall health. And not just my health, but also that of my family. I love being able to take what I’ve learned during my fitness journey and incorporate it into my cooking, to create dishes that are not only tasty and filling, but also healthy.
